What we offer employees
As well as the opportunity to join a passionate, welcoming team, including Freia, the office dog, and to work on exciting projects, we offer the following:
Work-Life Balance
We support you if you want to work flexibly by considering requests for part-time working, compressed hours and home working.
Holidays and Leave
Full time staff get 25 days’ annual leave plus 10 public holidays (pro-rated for part-time employees).
Christmas, New Year and Easter public holidays are mandatory and the office will be closed. The other 4 public holidays can be taken flexibly for those who want to take them at another time.
Sickness Absense
After you have completed your probationary period, you may be entitled to receive contractual sick pay. Details will be included in your contract.
Pension
Edinburgh World Heritage operates a workplace pension scheme, with the charity making 8% pension contributions. Employees can contribute to the pension scheme, although this is not compulsory.
Training and Development
We’ll make sure you’re trained and ready to do your job but also that you have learning and leadership opportunities to help you develop your career, through regular performance reviews and personal development plans.
Professional Subscriptions
We reimburse the cost of annual professional subscriptions which are required for staff to legally carry out the work for which they are employed.
