Edinburgh World Heritage
Welcome to the newly relaunched website of Edinburgh World Heritage. We’d like to show you around…
Our new Explore section is designed to help you uncover some of the best parts of the World Heritage Site. Use the interactive map to see highlights of the World Heritage Site, uncover the stories of particular streets, find out about individual buildings and monuments, or follow a trail. If you’re ready to actually go and explore these in the real world, simply click ‘Explore on Map’ on any entry to launch Google Maps. If you’re on your phone, you can use your GPS to navigate to where you want to go.
We have overseen more than 1 500 projects in the city since our inception. Visit our Projects section as we continue to add new and previous projects to our ever-growing portfolio, including our international work.
You can now apply for a grant from our Conversation Funding Programme directly from this website. Our ever-popular Historic Home Guides can also be found here, and we shall continue adding more information to our energy efficiency and maintenance advice guides, too.
For teachers and students, have a browse of the Learning section – we will be expanding the resources available here over time. There’s also a section for those interested in finding out more about training and apprenticeships in the traditional trades that help to maintain Edinburgh’s historic environment.
Another way is to Become a Member, and we’ve updated the sign-up process to ensure that we continue to take online payments securely, and members can access their own profile.
Here on the blog, you will find all our latest news. You can click on the categories above to filter it down to just what you need. You can also sign up to our newsletter by clicking the orange ‘Subscribe‘ button at the bottom of every page.
