Calling all volunteers for 'Our World Heritage' exhibition at the Tron
As you may be aware, Edinburgh World Heritage has opened a new exhibition at the Tron, on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, which showcases the Old and New Towns of Edinburgh as well as Scotland’s five other World Heritage Sites. The exhibition, housed within the atmospheric 17th century former kirk, attempts to capture the essence of our World Heritage Site through the views and perspectives of local people. The story is told in a series of videos, quotes, and specially commissioned portraits from Scottish photographer Alicia Bruce.
We have been overwhelmed with the positive response to the exhibition, and are now looking for volunteers to help look after it. Duties would involve answering visitor questions and helping to maintain the exhibition. We will provide full training on the content, as well as the history of the Tron Kirk. You should be willing to donate at least two hours of your time per week.
If interested, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
UPDATE: As you will be aware, the World Heritage exhibition and retail operation at the Tron has been closed due to the ongoing situation with COVID 19, but we will keep you updated as to any future changes.
