Mark Hopton

Mark is a Conservation Accredited architect and partner in a firm of architects which specialises in heritage projects.  

He has completed a number of major conservation and regeneration projects around the UK, including the recent redevelopment of the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.

He was a Commissioner of RCAHMS and is a former member of the Historic Buildings Council and Historic Environment Advisory Council.  Mark believes that conservation is the management of change and that each generation should be making its own history as well as respecting that of the past.
